Dr. Halimah Hj Ahmad

Dr. Halimah Hj Ahmad, (KMN, JSM) received her PhD in Consumer Economics and Consumer Psychology in the marketplace from  University of Texas, USA.  She has more than 25 years in consumer education and research. She was the founder and first president of the Malaysian Consumer and Family Economics Association (MACFEA).  She has served as the Chairman of the National Consumer Advisory Council and was awarded the National Consumerist Award in 1996 by the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs. 

Assoc.Prof Dr. Laily Paim

Assoc.Prof Dr. Laily Paim, received her  PhD from Illinois university, Urbana, USA in the area of Resource Management and Family Studies.  She is currently involved in teaching at a local university. She has vast experience in research and consultancy related to consumerism conducted for agencies both locally and overseas.

Mohd Iqbal bin Mohamed Shafi

Mohd Iqbal bin Mohamed Shafi (KMN) has a M.Sc in Town Planning, from University of Wales, UK and a Bachelor of Law degree from University of Wolverhampton, UK.  He was a member of the Malaysian Administrative and Diplomatic Service, having served over 30 years in various capacities at various agencies of the government. He was a senior staff at the National Institute of public Administration for over 11 years. His consumer experience stems from his role as Director of the Consumer Affairs Division, Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs for 6 years. He was instrumental in the formulation of the Consumer Protection Act 1999. 

Assoc.Prof Kamariah Othman

Assoc.Prof Kamariah Othman received her MBA (Finance) from University of New Haven, Connecticut, USA.  Her other interests are issues related to the environment and sustainable consumption. She is currently attached to a local university.

Assoc. Prof. Wook Endut  

Assoc. Prof. Wook Endut received her masters degree in economics from the University of Kent, UK. She is an expert in micro and macro economics including consumer economics. She is currently attached to a local university.

Ms Josie Zaini, 

Ms Josie Zaini, M.A. is a consumer activist and researcher with wide experience in consumerism. She has served as a consultant with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs and prepared the Consumer Master Plan 2003-2013. She was awarded the National Consumerist Award in 1994 by the ministry. She was also the previous director of Consumers International Director Eastern Region.

Dr. Afida Mastura Muhammad Arif 

Dr. Afida Mastura Muhammad Arif. She has a PhD in law and has written several articles and research papers in consumer matters. She is currently serving with a local university.

Assoc. Prof Dr. Mohammad Shatar Sabran.

Assoc. Prof Dr. Mohammad Shatar Sabran. He obtained his PhD  from University of Missouri, Columbia. USA. He is currently serving with a local university. He is also a consultant to a number of government agencies.
